The SDET will collaborate with a larger team of engineers and product managers to develop test plans, collect data to make well informed decisions. In this role, the candidate is expected to work independently with little supervision, to have excellent organization and problem-solving skills, and to have hands-on experience in quality assurance and agile methodologies. Perform other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Develop an automation roadmap and help initiate the right framework and maintain the existing automation suite.
- Design, implement and execute high-value, easily maintainable API, CLI and GUI test automation (automation framework and test cases) that effectively verifies product quality, using popular test automation technologies.
- Serve as SME for Automation Framework and be accountable for the evolution of the automation framework.
- Collaborate regularly with members of the Quality Engineering, Development, Product Management and Support Teams to fully understand customer needs in order to design and implement optimal test automation solutions.
- Estimate, plan and coordinate automation development and product testing activities in an Agile environment.
- Identify, thoroughly document and track bugs/issues.
- Develop and configure test automation scripts and execute performance tests.
- Coordinate with product management and engineers to deliver on stability of products
Qualifications
- BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline.
- 2+ years of strong coding experience with Python (Preferred) or JavaScript or C#.
- 2+ years of experience with Robot Framework, Cucumber, Eggplant, JBehave, BDD, TestNG testing frameworks.
- 2+ years of working with US or Europe clients directly (required).
- Familiarity with test engineering tools such as JUnit, Selenium Webdriver, Enterprise Test automation framework, Unix Shell scripting, JIRA, GIT, and SQL.
- Able to test back end API's (SOAP and REST) and front-end UI applications.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.
- Results oriented, willing to take responsibility and accept accountability for action.
- Good analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in an Agile, globally distributed environment
- Must have a strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, processes, and the agile software development life cycle.
- Healthcare experience is a plus
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and company needs.
- Ability to work directly with a client based in USA.
