Service Manager/Lead

The Service Lead Engineer / Service Manager will collaborate with a larger team of engineers and project managers to develop and drive the delivery of software systems to our US customers. In this role, the candidate is expected to work independently with little supervision, to have excellent organization and problem-solving skills, and to have hands-on experience in database management, administration, Code reviews, ability assurance and agile methodologies.  

Responsibilities 

Lead the delivery of software projects to customers in US with little to no supervision 
- Should have deep knowledge and hands-on experience with NodeJS 
- Should be experienced in using databases like MongoDB, and PostgreSQL; will be primarily responsible for developing and implementing the business logic for the back end of a web application 
- Should have experienced in using version control systems like git 
- Should be able to develop high standard code which passes through automated checks of Sonar Cube 
- Should have good debugging skills and be able to debug logs 
- Should adhere to processes defined by the client and provide inputs improvements. 
- Provide periodic status report on the agreed KPIs. 
- Team player and an individual contributor. 

- Flexible to take participate in calls with Client Onsite partners during US hours. 
- Ability to interact with client teams and internal stakeholders. 

  • Lead the onsite team and manage the delivery of the projects 

  • Communicate with business stake holders in USA 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field of study 

  • 7-10 years of experience in working with clients  

  • 3 years of client facing delivery and communication experience 

  • 5+ years of strong coding experience in object-oriented programming (nodejs preferred) 

  • 5+ years in working on databases like postgreSQL 

  • Hands-on experience with Agile development methodologies and CI/CD techniques 

  • Experience managing distributed teams across multiple time Zones with a mix of full-time employees and vendors 

  • Process minded individual with good presentation and communication skills 

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are required. 

  • Results oriented, willing to take responsibility and accept accountability for action. 

  • Good analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills 

  • Ability to work in an Agile, globally distributed environment 

  • Must have a strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, processes, and the agile software development life cycle.
